Mike has over 18 years of experience in residential and commercial real estate in Key West and the Florida Keys. Originally from Connecticut, Mike moved to Ft. Lauderdale in 1990, where he worked for a Fortune 500 company as a Regional Sales Director until 1997 when he decided to go into business for himself. In 2000, Mike sold the business and moved to Key West. Mike worked at the Key West Citizen as a Sales Manager, developing the local real estate advertising market. During that time Mike got his real estate license and became a full-time real estate professional.
Mike is the Past President of the (KWAR) Key West Association of Realtors. During his time serving as a board member for KWAR, Mike was the acting Government Affairs Director working in conjunction with the Miami Association of Realtors to promote real estate concerns such as homeownership, affordable housing, and runaway insurance premiums.
Mike has successfully worked with many foreign buyers and sellers and has his (CIPS) Certified International Property Specialist designation. Additionally, Mike has extensive experience working with mortgage servicers and banks to assist sellers and buyers of bank-owned and distressed properties and has his (SFR) Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource designation.
Mike is married with 4 children and has been very involved in the local community. He is the past president of the Rotary Club of Key West, where he established the Edward B Knight scholarship fund. Mike also served on the Naval Air Station Key West Restoration Board and coaches youth soccer.
