About Kayla D'Ascanio

Originally from a small Appalachian Mountain town in Virginia, Kayla D'Ascanio moved to the Florida Keys in 2015 on an impulse to pursue interior design. Kayla earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a specialty in Interior Design from Radford University. After graduating college and an internship in Seattle, WA, she returned home to work at Volvo Trucks, where she managed 50+ engineers and designers as an office assistant for customer engineering. Kayla met her now-husband, Franco, in the interior design industry when she arrived in the Florida Keys. After a chance open position at a vacation rental company, she started as an assistant and worked her way up to running and managing a premier vacation rental company in Marathon. What Kayla loves most about vacation rentals is the enjoyment from helping people have a vacation of a lifetime in a paradise that she now calls home. During pregnancy with her first son and worldwide pandemic, Kayla decided that her love of vacation rentals partnered effortlessly with real estate sales, and she achieved her real estate license in 2020. Kayla's deep knowledge of sales, design, and community has provided her with a perfect roadmap to help her clients achieve the home of their dreams in a truly magical place.

When she is not busy with vacation rentals, she enjoys arts and crafts, running her personal design/gift business, and spending time with her beautiful family. As a typical Keys resident, Kayla loves being out on the boat, pole and spearfishing, or just being outside and working in the community with the Business and Professional Women Club of Marathon and D'Asign Source.
